In the course of October 2015, I had the opportunity to go for a two-week exchange programme in Kenya. The main aim of this programme was to improve upon my advocacy communication skills, multi-stakeholder facilitation skills and to learn more about community-led biodiversity conservation and advocacy.
Dzifa Kumaga is the Communications officer of the Development Institute. She is Ghanaian from the Volta Region and has a Bachelors’ degree in Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana, Legon. She did her national service at the Princess Marie Louise hospital where she worked both at the Records Department and as an Assistant Switchboard Operator.
As a communications officer, she is responsible for both internal and external correspondences and also supports project officers in developing communication tools for projects.
