The DI in collaboration with the Keta Municipal Assembly hosted the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2017. The event was marked with radio awareness and “Be Bold for Change” Walk through Keta together with some GAGGA communities, majority being women. It was climaxed at the Keta Municipal Assembly hall with statements from experts at the District Assembly on Gender and Climate Change. Sixty-nine people from the GAGGA project beneficiary groups and residents of Keta participated in the event.
A press statement was also issued by the groups to demand for gender equality from duty bearers.
